Hello! I have been very closely observing the pancakeswap ecosystem and along with this, this proposal… almost a month and a few days since the proposal was launched, there has been no more interaction or news about all this. What is happening? Please we are waiting for new news! Thank you

Hello @TikiTiki

Thank you for your comment. For the time being, we are in the process of doing social campaigns to boost awareness and growing community. For more updates, you can follow us on https://twitter.com/MancakeSwap

Product-wise, we are on track with the development and will be rolling out marketing and the official launch soon. Please stay tuned. We’ll have more announcements coming out next week.

On the backend operations, some of the team members joined Token2049 in Dubai last week. We have met and network with protocols and investors on Mantle ecosystem to ensure strong support for a successful launch.

Appreciate your patience & support.
Cheers.

Hello everyone! It’s been a while and I would like to know if there is any news about this project or if it has been abandoned?

Today I tried to access the page that was under construction and the information on X is somewhat outdated.

At some point it was said that the Mancakeswap team needed the technical support of the Pancakeswap team for its development, which is certainly something worrying in my mind, since the creators and applicants of this project being somewhat “anonymous” makes me think of quite unpleasant things such as for example -and which was a case in this regard -I don’t remember exactly the name of the exchange or specific project- in which supposed foreign investors wanted to invest in the project, they got close enough to those who managed the protocol/exchange that they managed to implant a virus on their computers -a kind of Trojan- with which they managed to steal sensitive information, including access keys and wallets (among other things) now to which I ask the question -with a possible perhaps unjustified fear- also that the pancakeswap team through these requests for “support” or logistics, to prepare this type of scenarios, where they want to add affiliates, could mean some risk for example of sharing sensitive information with the wrong people, perhaps even someone who wants to take advantage of looking for some vulnerability or having access to information that as such should only be handled by the Chef’s team since it could be a risk to share it with third parties.

Leaving this concern raised, waiting to find out what is really happening behind what would be the first affiliate -I hope successful- of this proposal by Pancakeswap affiliates, a cordial greeting.

hello, thanks for following up, we’re still working on the project and the tech is being built in-house - undergoing audits and reviews from all partners to make sure that everything is safe.

agreed overall though that safety is a high priority and that we cannot afford to have any breaches of security and trust amongst the community.

thanks so much for your excitement regarding affiliates, and we hope to set a great example for this trend moving forward <3

Hi again Tiki!

Assuming the question was asked in good faith given your general demeanor (imo) in here — I’ll start by saying I fully hear you 100% and what you’re referring to is what I believe is a tactic I thinkkkk referred to as credibility spoofing but I feel like there’s another way to say it?

Either way; valid question given the context imo. At the very least can’t blame you for asking! It’s your funds & wellbeing! My first tip would be noting that folks who behave like that & conduct such would’ve 99.999% muted if not entirely banned your account just at asking the question  ensuring it was deleted ASAP.

Below I’ve provided two links that will help put your mind at ease. Read the part about crypto red flags in the first, and take note at PCS’s killer reputation credibility-wise in my new fave tool the second link.

That being said I will conclude onnnnnn (one moment pleaseeeee!) :

That being said, mantle isnt the boom I thought it would be considering how long it’s been around now (and more complex readability-wise than our standard main chains one could argue) — so it’s not unreasonable as I said to have such a concern as it’s not something that I feel confident “will never happen” the way you described. (See below pls)

Finishing on this:

To OP; I will say the data for Mantle available suggesting <100 users the last 7d isn’t a great sign, I do see MNT is open source contract but does include a proxy contract of some sort which BNB does not contain, both are open source

To chefs: to my understanding that proxy contract could be something as small as using what I believe or called diamond functions regarding smart contract calls.

But for the sake of the argument, I think it would be prudent to have a third-party verify what the proxy contract functions for as that would put any doubts to rest if possible. As proxy contracts admittedly are associated unfortunately with bad actor ploys despite good actors use. @TikiTiki I.e our derivatives infrastructure provider (futures platform people) use a proxy contract so it allows funds held during a trade to be entirely dictated by smart contract functionality.

Thus the custodian at no point holds these funds themselves & both parties can find peace of mind that final output of senders txn is defined. TL;DR/ Proxy contracts are definitely useful but your concern is 110% not out of reality

Solution? — is there another chain’s product we provide you can use in the meantime that you feel more comfortable on? FWIW I really doubt the Chefs are going to risk a scandal like this considering the empire/reputation they’ve worked to establish :hugs:

Sorry for the rant but hope it’s helpful!

Hello again! @Nasdaq_Nico

I thank you very much again for your response and opinions regarding my questions and queries, and of course, I am 100% convinced of the PCS team and the chefs, the fact that worries me mainly and well, because it is something that undoubtedly generates entries or participation from third parties (in this case it was more of an observation and questioning to the Mancakeswap team rather than to pancakeswap) also because of the fact that at some point, we talked about the implementation deadlines among other things, and added to that, the little information available and updates regarding what is being a great value proposition that are the affiliates, leaves me somewhat intrigued by the fact that the first proposal has taken so long -and for the rest has gone somewhat unnoticed- I must also tell you that within, so to speak, the “demands” of this project, was precisely the “technical help” from the pancakeswap team, and well, also in view of the fact that we are surrounded by good and bad and successful projects and others not so much or even the so-called “rug pulls” is even something that worries me that it can indirectly harm the ecosystem and since it is a proposal -that of affiliates- to add value and not to have consequences or subtract value as such, for whatever reason.

As I said, I appreciate your words, I took the time to read, and I also raise this fact again, that in a certain way it is not entirely clear how potential affiliates are going to be filtered, since that in itself is already a first layer of security/precaution/prevention and I look forward to this project itself, effectively taking value and bearing fruit and being successfully the first PCS affiliate project.

Greetings!
