Discussion for Kitchen-Discretionary CAKE Emissions

@ChefMochi

Intro
if you want to know our opinion just read these messages, split the opinions in percentages and multiply to the full holders number. If 50% here are disappointed then 50% percent of holders are disappointed. This is also reflected in the price.

The problem
Long term holders are the real believers. 15% APY in a high risk investment with 4 years lock is obviously nothing.

Also about the CKP we understand how it works and why it has higher APR but this understanding does not make us feel better.

Personally I invested in this and now I gain great Apr while my initial Investment is valued already 2 times more.

Please instead of trying to explain how things happened try to find a solution.

If you have a solution please let us know so we just lay back and wait without feeling anxious and disappointed

Suggested Solutions

  1. Since rewards per 1000veCakes are -50% comparing to the beginning please increase the Cake Pool rewards by VOTING more the Cake pool. If this pool will get 25% (the highest limit) then we will be more satisfied.
  2. If possible add 5% rewards from more pools (0,25% etc)
  3. If there is a plan for increasing rewards please let us know so we don’t feel disappointed.

Dear all chefs please try to see things from our point of view. Think that you invest in a building for the rent and suddenly you have to cut 50% the rent while you are not able to sell it for 4 years!

Maybe you do not like what I write here but believe me these are real thoughts and feelings from my soul as a real fan and investor.

Hi Dimitris,

We understand that some holders like yourself seek higher yields via staking veCAKE. Such a solution already exists via StakeDAO. Kindly visit Stake DAO | Votemarket and vote for a PCS gauge that has vote incentives. The vote incentives for using your veCAKE will be claimable once the voting epoch ends. For readers’ convenience, I have taken a screenshot of the relevant StakeDAO page.

Taking your example, if CAKE staking accrues 15% APY currently, voting on one of the gauges here brings an additional 18.78% - 57.55% APY, which are provided by external projects. Therefore, the total is between ~33% APY to 73% APY. Most of this yield is not CAKE yield, and that is the design of veCAKE. It is to reward veCAKE stakers without also having to raise CAKE inflation, as projects are providing their tokens to incentivize veCAKE holders.

We would like veCAKE stakers to explore the benefits of veCAKE beyond simply thinking about what staking of CAKE itself offers, because veCAKE is designed to let external projects reward veCAKE holders via outsourcing the liquidity building function of PCS. Therefore, a significant portion of yield in the future will be provided by other projects and veCAKE holders will be enjoying both native CAKE staking yields and external incentives.

If the above guidance is still not clear, please ping me on Telegram directly and I’m happy to walk through it in more detail to help clear up any further misunderstanding.

Yes thanks for your reply some weeks ago. I did some voting for bribes. As you and chef mochi suggested. Still little apy but at least progress since cake apr was low. Thanks both for the replies on this.

As mentioned in previous reply to jupia. Thanks for pointing out gauges. But since these are whitelisted cant we have some sort off better publication on the epoch available gauges and there incentives. I understand that these are 3rd party projects but they are whitelisted so shouldnt be hard i think to have a page on pcs where the incentives are mentioned. Now when seeing gauges on pcs you see al sort of percentages but not the incentives they offer.

hi sir @Otje ! here on the forum there are two things:

  1. a post category for gauge requests
    Gauges - PancakeSwap

  2. epoch reports
    Topics tagged epoch-report

ineed something in the pcs ui/ux about bribes redirecting to bribes could be interesting. I will forward your suggestion to the kitchen(Pancake core team).
