## **Enable stBTC/BTCB (0.01% fee tier) V3 gauge on BNB Chain**

## Overview

- Lorenzo Protocol is Bitcoin liquidity finance layer. The infrastructure tokenizing Bitcoin staking into uniformed liquid staking token (LST) standards, supplying BTC LST liquidity to all ecosystems and enabling a StakingFi ecosystem.

- Babylon enabled BTC staking, Lorenzo Protocol as the BTC liquidity finance layer, provides a number of features for the Babylon ecosystem:

- Lorenzo Protocol separated LST into liquid principal tokens (LPT) and yield accruing tokens (YAT), LPT is used to claim BTC after staking is over, and YAT is used to claim yield from staking.

## Background

- stBTC, a BTC-pegged token, as Lorenzo’s official LPT, represents the rights to claim the staked Bitcoin principal after the staking concludes.

- stBTC is minted by staking wBTC or BTCB to Lorenzo on BSC Chain

- To better support the synergies of stBTC on BSC, a decent liquidity pool is necessary to be established.

- Lorenzo is incentivizing stBTC-BTCB liquidity on PancakeSwap within its campaign. A bribe of incentive is planned to kick off and will increase when TVL grow over 3-6 EPOCH

7. Merit: How will this proposal benefit PancakeSwap (fees, marketing, users, etc.)?  
The trading pair of stBTC and Lorenzo Protocol will continuously incentivize stBTC liquidity on PancakeSwap and keep on building use cases for stBTC on BNB Chain accordingly. These actions will bring volume, users, and TVL to PancakeSwap.
